ICE
Independence,
Curiosity, &
Entrepreneurship
are the three core personal attributes
that this project is dedicated to
cultivating in participants.
Nymph
"Nymph" symbolises the pivotal stage of high school students evolving into adulthood.
In Greek mythology,
Nymphs are female deities found in mountain and forest streams,
representing the project's spirit of
Sustainability, Diversity, and Multicultural Integration.
Empowering Underprivileged Students' Life Choices
During the crucial adolescent period of value formation, ICE Nymph enriches underprivileged students' imagination of personal careers, civic society, and national development through a mentorship program and overseas visits.
Pursuing three core values: 'entrepreneurship,' 'multicultural integration,' and 'sustainable development,' ICE Nymph supports students in 360-degree life planning, establishing long-term life goals, and cultivating the abilities to face life's challenges, thereby turning them into positive forces for the development of Taiwan and international democratic societies.

Creating a Future of
Gender Equality
Although Taiwan ranks first in gender equality in Asia, gender roles and traditional expectations lead to disparities in resource allocation in many areas, affecting women's life development. For instance, women often bear the burden of household chores after work or face the dilemma of balancing career and family responsibilities, constraining their personal development.
To eliminate gender barriers to personal development, ICE Nymph reserves more than 51% of the project vacancy for female high school students, with the first cohort entirely comprised of women.
As the next generation of women broadens new horizons, they become aware of the stereotypes and inequalities inherent in their environment. ICE Nymph assists in charting young women's career blueprints, leading deep-seated societal perceptions changes and realising an equal and diverse society.
Developing Sustainable Models for Individuals & Nations
Sustainability of Individuals = Sustainability of Nations
ICE Nymph believes that defining and pursuing core values is the practice of a sustainable model.
By empowering underprivileged students to pursue the realisation of their life values, we will create richer life imaginations and opportunities for them.
Individuals' active growth will drive positive societal development, helping Taiwan and democratic nations move towards a more equal, inclusive, and vibrant society, nurturing a more outstanding next generation and achieving the nation's sustainable future.
ICE Nymph's Main Focus
Annually, ICE Nymph fully sponsors 20 underprivileged high school students from Taiwan, who receive three months of mentorship from industry experts by starting with a business strategy-oriented approach to planning sustainable life development models.
Additionally, under the guidance of mentors, they embark on a two-week summer visit to the Netherlands. This visit integrates observations of public and private organisations, cultural experiences, political insights, and urban observations, exposing them to diverse perspectives, stimulating new thinking, and creating opportunities for social mobility.
Why the Netherlands?
In 1624, the Dutch landed in Anping, Taiwan, marking the beginning of Taiwan's connection to the international economic context, initiating the island's strategic role in geopolitical and global economic development.
Utilising abundant resources from Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie (The United East India Company) and progressive commercial thinking, the Netherlands established a nation and started its golden age. Four hundred years later, it has become a significant economic contributor globally.
With objective conditions in politics, economy, society, demographics, and geography highly similar to Taiwan, the Netherlands is a valuable model for Taiwan to consider in building a sovereign state and fostering industries and social experiences characterised by high values, creativity, and multicultural integration.
At the same time, Taiwan's strengths in high-tech industries, economy, and shared democratic values with Western countries are key contributions to enhancing global democratic resilience through this project.
